Getting your brand in front of consumers was neither easy nor difficult. But the rise of Social Media and its widespread adoption made it easier than ever to reach
before, your target audience. What remains difficult is navigating the constant flow of information reaching an increasingly informed audience, whose trust in brands as a whole has declined. So how can you encourage
your audience to connect with your brand (or product)?
.
The answer is simple: empathy.
In a world that grows more pessimistic and divided by the day, the word “empathy,” or sharing feelings, may seem revolutionary. But in any case, there’s nothing more powerful for brands
than empathy, provided you use it correctly. It helps you move beyond the stereotypical, untrustworthy image of brands, and
helps consumers see their relationship with your brand as a friendship built on care and mutual respect.
There are now two steps to building empathy for your brand:
1. Encourage your audience to empathize with your brand.
2. Prove that your brand empathizes with its audience.
.
Encouraging people to empathize with your brand is simple when you develop your social media strategy. Take the time
to think about your brand and treat it like a person. What kind of voice would you prefer: a casual or formal tone? Which is more appropriate, as long as you
تتسم بالثبات.
The more you present your brand as a strong entity, the more connected it will become with others. Focus on the community behind your brand—the employees and customers who have helped
التعاطف معها.
Social media gives you the opportunity to show your audience what goes on behind the scenes and how things work at your business.
If you take the time to present yourself as caring, passionate, and friendly, your audience will respond and engage with your brand.
و لكن اعلم أن تعاطف المستهلكين مع علامتك التجارية ليس كافيًا، بل يجب أن تظهر أنت أيضًا التعاطف معهم؛
And you can do this in simple ways:
.
1. Respond promptly and courteously to anyone who contacts you with a question or shows interest.
2. Make them feel that you genuinely care about how they feel—not just about solving their problems, but also about making sure they’re satisfied with your service.
.
Once you’ve established your brand, listened to your audience, and taken their feedback into account, you’ll be better positioned to move forward. Connect with your community,
whether by launching a fundraising campaign or doing charitable work. This shows that you care about everyone around you, not just the people who buy your product.
If you make your brand responsive to your audience and their feelings, they’ll respond to it in turn. You can also build a genuine connection with your existing followers,
and engaging with new followers.
