The Future of Franchising and Adapting to Change
12 August، 2020There are several ways to double your income as a freelance writer in just 30 days, provided you know how to spot opportunities
that are worth pursuing, or train yourself to seize them. That’s one of the most important parts of the job. So, what are the five steps to grow
your earnings?
.
1) Publish 20 ads per week
There’s no doubt that not spending enough to fund your promotional posts is the number-one barrier keeping you from earning more
As for money, I’ve worked with more than a thousand freelance writers—beginners, intermediate writers, and experts—who regularly pay
to publish ads promoting their work. Simply put, the ads you publish each week are like fishing nets you cast
في البحر.
Although around 99% of freelancers don’t publish this many ads, you need to reach that volume to promote
your work effectively. So publish around 20 or more ads a week for four weeks, and watch your income
literally double.
.
2) Identify how your clients make money
Remember that your work generates income for your clients, and that the power of your persuasive ad copy helps them earn even more. It’s
A simple equation: copywriting is income, and income is the result.
So explain this equation to yourself—the one that lets you generate income from copywriting—and try to prove that your writing achieves what you want it to,
bearing in mind that around 90% of freelance copywriters can’t solve that equation.
If you can’t grasp this equation, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a poor copywriter. But you may then have to rely on a number of
clients who judge copywriting emotionally—a tendency some freelancers know how to leverage
to their advantage. One client likes it, another feels bad about it; one likes something, another doesn’t.
To double your income within thirty days, pinpoint exactly how your writing generates extra revenue; that’s easy once you
stop and look into it.
The next part, however, is the harder one: find a client willing to test your ad copy on a page that consistently gets around
at least 100 visitors a week. You may need to offer your writing for free at first to a client you think is a good fit,
because finding paying clients is very difficult, especially before you’ve proven that your work gets results.
But that’s okay. Once you make it clear to your clients that your writing will earn them more money, you’ll be in a position where
90% of authors can compete with you in this area.
.
3) Get marketing packages
What’s the difference between freelancers who charge a few hundred dollars to write blog posts and agencies that charge
at least $10,000 a month?
The answer isn’t skill or luck. Anyone can write for an agency these days, but as a general rule,
Once you become a good writer and marketer, your work will command a very high price from agencies, and typically
The quality of writing from an agency is slightly lower than what you’d get from an experienced freelancer.
So why do these freelancers charge a few hundred dollars, while agencies bring in at least $10,000 a month?
The answer is actually very simple: it’s a bundle of services. Companies usually turn to freelancers for specific writing services,
but they turn to agencies for comprehensive marketing packages. That’s just how it works.
.
4) Sell recurring services
Imagine closing two $5,000 deals every month for the next year. By the end of the year, you’d have earned around $120,000.
without continuing to earn any more revenue afterward, since you’ve already been paid for your offers, made your money, and received the benefit once
واحدة فقط.
You can sell work packages to every client who hires you for $5,000 that month, with a monthly payment of $500
for ongoing services related to the original project, and perhaps 50% of them will accept your offer. By the end of that year, you’ll no longer
earn only one-time project fees—you’ll also bring in an extra $6,000 per month through your recurring services. So dedicate
your efforts to continuing to earn revenue, so you don’t have to start over every month.
.
5) Ask your clients for referrals indirectly
It’s natural to start from scratch again when a client engagement ends, but I’m curious to hear your answer to
my question: Do you ask your existing clients to refer you to new clients after you’ve finished working with them?
If not, try one of these two approaches:
الأولى: Once they’ve shared their feedback and praised your work, indirectly ask them to recommend you to colleagues who could
benefit from your writing. Keep it subtle, and phrase it as a question they can respond to.
الأخرى: Survey your clients to learn how they feel about your work, and document their feedback along with their contact information. This
It helps you improve the customer service experience you provide by identifying ways to respond to customers who
view you negatively.
Finally, keep your customers happy with a variety of unexpected gestures, even after your
business relationship has ended, to earn positive reviews.
