Many may find it hard to believe that the process Decision making is more important than rigorous decision analysis, and that matters like these shouldn’t be left to chance,
Making important decisions affects Entrepreneur and their team—and, consequently, their company.
One might think that the more you know and the more facts you uncover, the more confident you’ll be in making a decision. That may indeed be true to some extent, because of our biases,
We all know that our beliefs, values, and experiences shape how we see the world—though sometimes we’re inevitably prone to misunderstandings.
People shape the message—intentionally or otherwise—to reassure themselves of their own rationality or to advance their own agenda in line with what they believe to be true.
In large organizations, the information received is often a byproduct of something factual, but relates to something of little importance.
.

Why is a decision-making process worthwhile?
The beauty of the decision-making process is that the process itself exposes weak analysis and helps improve it. The reverse, however, is not true: analyzing piles of data
rigorously means nothing if the data is wrong. In the end, you’ll simply reach the wrong decision faster—underscoring how important the decision-making process is.
It’s very important.
.
Why doesn’t your company have a decision-making process?
Not understanding the importance of decision-making may be one reason your team hasn’t been able to make decisions yet. If they knew it was better than analyzing
the decision itself, they would certainly adopt the decision-making process right away.
Businesses often face obstacles and excuses that can hinder their ability and willingness to embrace change. To make decisions effectively, it’s important to consider the following:
.
الانضباط:
Decision-making should be a disciplined process that requires clarity around priorities, roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Unfortunately, clarifying all
of this thoroughly takes time—time when you may not feel productive because of the bias toward action, which makes you feel like you’re getting things done: replying to emails, browsing the internet, or completing tactical (rather than strategic) tasks that provide immediate feedback.
البريد الإلكتروني أو تصفح الإنترنت أو إكمال بعض المهام التكتيكية (بدلاً من الاستراتيجية) التي تقدم لك تعليقات فورية.
.
Misunderstanding the word “process”:
I know you might think your team needs another layer of process, but that’s not the case. In fact, a decision-making process saves time by extracting
random conversations from Meetings, aligning behavioral standards, and reducing the bias we can’t realistically ignore.
A team I trained put a decision-making process into practice—and saved itself two weeks of headaches! (That’s what the team said.)
وليس كلامي).
Of course, there are reasons why your team may not have a decision-making process yet. But you can train them to see how a decision-making process can fundamentally change
the effectiveness of decision-making, or introduce one to your team to influence outcomes that depend on the team.
.
Whichever you choose, make sure you have a process. Success at anything doesn’t happen by chance—it happens by choice.
