How to Price Your Freelance Projects Without Losing Money
16 November، 2020We spend a third of our time at the office, which means that the people we work and communicate with every day can affect our productivity and even
our career prospects—and vice versa. To make sure this influence is positive, everyone should follow workplace etiquette and comply
with work-related rules and policies.
It’s natural for disagreements to arise between زملاء العملEveryone has their own environment, principles, independent personality, and way of doing things.
These differences in how people handle things may clash with those of their colleagues, leading to disagreements that can affect relationships. Some employees may
feel that their employer dislikes them or does not want them on the team because they cause problems, which naturally threatens
their job security and their social and psychological well-being.
That’s why, at Ebtedyi, we’re sharing a few tips to help you avoid disagreements with your colleagues and make your workplace

1. Accept others
We can’t make others think and handle information exactly as we do. That’s impossible,
and it turns the workplace into a battleground where everyone loses. We therefore need to be flexible enough to respond constructively to any problem
that arises. If a minor disagreement occurs, we should address it right away rather than let it build up into a snowball that sweeps away everything
positive we have built together. We should accept others as they are, and if a problem arises for any reason, we should work toward a solution that works for
both sides. Don’t make your colleague feel that you’ve defeated them, as this may cause resentment and lead them to turn against you when the opportunity arises.
.
2- Be clear in your actions:
The best way to steer clear of workplace problems is to be clear, honest, and consistent in your approach.
الثابتة. فعندما يتم وصفك بالشخص الواضح، الذي لا يعرف كيفيّة “اللعب على الحبلين”، تنجح في الحفاظ على علاقاتك،
Own up to your mistakes and alert others to any problems they may face. You can be sure you’ll earn respect
and appreciation from your colleagues, even those who disagree with you.
.
3. Avoid borrowing money from colleagues:
It’s well known that money can ruin relationships. So avoid borrowing from your coworkers whenever possible. If you’re forced
to ask a friend for money, put it in writing and have them sign it, specifying how you’ll repay the amount, however small. This way
This spares your colleague any awkwardness later if you forget to repay the money or miss a payment. As a French proverb goes:
“إنّ الحسابات الصحيحة بين شخصين تحافظ على علاقة الصداقة (أو الزمالة في حالتنا هنا) بينهما”.
.
4. Don’t make too many requests:
It’s true that you and your colleague are working on the same project, but you each have specific tasks, which means they’ll be busy getting their assigned work
done. In this case, you shouldn’t keep asking them how to spell a word or asking them for information. We live in
a highly advanced age, when the internet gives us access to any information we need. Look online before asking your colleague about
the subject and taking up their valuable time.
.
4. Don’t make the conflict personal
There’s one essential rule when dealing with disagreements with colleagues: don’t take them personally. If someone
disagrees with you on a particular point of view, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re questioning your abilities as a colleague. So try not to
take opinions that differ from yours as a personal criticism. Instead, be a good sport and accept
constructive criticism, and use it wisely to support your career. But of course, if you find that you’re being personally
attacked, the best thing to do is avoid responding and leave calmly.
.
5. Maintain good personal hygiene:
It’s very important to come to the office smelling fresh and dressed appropriately and neatly, showing that you respect yourself and take care of your appearance
your desk and avoid letting the space turn into something resembling a trash heap. Try to give it a thorough clean from time to time
لمكتبك، ولا مانع من “شَخْصَنة” المكان من خلال وضع بعض اللمسات الخاصة التي تؤشر إلى أهوائك وذوقك.
.
6. Be a good listener
Give the colleague you disagree with a chance to hear their point of view, as this can go a long way toward resolving the issue
between you. It may also help to set a time limit for your discussion, allowing you to keep the conversation focused on
the issue in dispute and avoid pointless, circular arguments that have nothing to do with the underlying problem.
.
7. Ignore rumors about you:
Ignoring workplace rumors is the best way to deal with them. By not responding or commenting, you help leave the rumors
It consumes itself. And know that rumors are often short-lived and soon fade from memory.
