and challenges, including\u2014but not limited to\u2014ridicule from those around them, limited funding, <\/span><\/p>\n

and tight deadlines. But their determination and belief in their ideas helped those ideas grow into successful companies that the whole world now looks to<\/span><\/p>\n

with admiration. Today, we take a look behind the success of these leading companies and explore how their ideas began, in the hope that they will be a source of<\/span><\/p>\n

An inspiration to many.<\/span><\/p>\n

Behind the success of leading companies are inspiring stories of struggle. True success is never inherited or born of chance. Instead, it comes <\/span><\/p>\n

from believing in yourself and your abilities\u2014a belief that continually drives you to strive and excel. Here are the origin stories of some of the most successful companies<\/span><\/p>\n

in the world today:<\/span><\/p>\n

It all began when Mark Zuckerberg, a second-year student at Harvard University who was not yet <\/span><\/p>\n

At the age of nineteen, he created a simple app that allowed students at his university to communicate with one another. It proved successful, which <\/span><\/p>\n

encouraged him to develop it further to include students from other universities. But that wasn\u2019t the end of the story: the app received its first investment <\/span><\/p>\n

in 2004 from Peter Thiel, a prominent entrepreneur and co-founder of PayPal. He went on to become a financial backer and member of the <\/span><\/p>\n

board of directors of Facebook, which went on to achieve worldwide fame and widespread adoption.<\/span><\/p>\n

From Harvard University to New York University, where student Jack Dorsey was studying. He proposed using short messages to communicate <\/span><\/p>\n

among groups of people. The app first appeared as a research project at Odeo. Then <\/span><\/p>\n

It launched for public use in October 2006. As the years went by, the app gradually evolved until <\/span><\/p>\n

it became the Twitter we know today, used by millions of people around the world every day to connect and post tweets.<\/span><\/p>\n

3- Linkedin<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

As for the more formal social media platform, which brings together many professionals and\u0631\u0648\u0627\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0639\u0645\u0627\u0644<\/a> people around the world and gives them opportunities to <\/span><\/p>\n

connect with one another, it began in 2002, when Reid Hoffman invited a group of former colleagues to work on a <\/span><\/p>\n

new idea. In 2003, Reid launched LinkedIn and encouraged around 350 of his contacts to <\/span><\/p>\n

to join its network after creating their own profiles. Naturally, uptake was slow at first, until it began<\/span><\/p>\n

to gain traction and secured its share of investment from Sequoia Capital.<\/span><\/p>\n

4- WhatsApp<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Today, you\u2019d be hard-pressed to find a phone without WhatsApp, known for delivering a smooth, intuitive, ad-free user experience without many <\/span><\/p>\n

of the distractions found in other apps. This was the primary goal of colleagues Jan Koum and Brian <\/span><\/p>\n

Acton, who worked together at Yahoo before leaving to explore a new venture that would deliver a simple, reliable user experience. <\/span><\/p>\n

After many challenges and obstacles, they launched an app in 2009 that offered the features they had long dreamed of.<\/span><\/p>\n

5- Snapchat<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Ambitious friends often inspire and encourage one another. When we look at how Snapchat got its start, <\/span><\/p>\n

we find that it was the brainchild of three friends: Evan Spiegel, Reggie Brown, and Bobby Murphy, who worked together to create an app <\/span><\/p>\n

they initially called Picaboo. However, a disagreement arose between Reggie on one side and Evan and Bobby on the other, so the latter asked<\/span><\/p>\n

Reggie to leave, then changed the app\u2019s name to Snapchat.<\/span><\/p>\n

6- Pinterest<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

We can\u2019t talk about Pinterest\u2019s origins and success without looking at the app\u2019s creator and the dramatic change his life underwent <\/span><\/p>\n

when he followed his passion, which led him to leave the medical career he inherited from his parents and work for Google. He is Ben Silbermann, <\/span><\/p>\n

who realized he wouldn\u2019t be able to pursue a career in medicine after starting university. By following his passion, he and two friends went on to <\/span><\/p>\n

create a website where people could display collections of things they were interested in on an interactive board. <\/span><\/p>\n

This marked the launch of the first version of Pinterest in 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n

7- Instagram<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

As for Instagram, the best-known app for sharing photos and videos, it began when its founder, Kevin Systrom, a graduate of<\/span><\/p>\n

Stanford University, spent his weekends creating an app for posting and sharing photos. He initially called it Burbn. <\/span><\/p>\n

Just a few days later, Kevin met Mike Krieger, one of the app\u2019s first users. The app went on to become <\/span><\/p>\n

In an instant, he went from being a mere user to a co-founder of the app, which was renamed Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n

8- Angry Birds<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

You\u2019ve probably had a great time playing this fun game, or heard about it from friends and acquaintances, <\/span><\/p>\n

and realized how successful and popular it became. But have you ever wondered how many failures the game\u2019s creators faced? It was 51 <\/span><\/p>\n

failed attempts by game developer Rovio. The company came close to bankruptcy, until its 52nd attempt became a fresh start <\/span><\/p>\n

for the company\u2019s founders, who were confident they could create something distinctive and successful despite all the obstacles.<\/span><\/p>\n

9- Uber<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Necessity is the mother of invention\u2014a saying passed down through generations and borne out by reality. The struggles Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp faced with <\/span><\/p>\n

After attending a conference in Paris, they struggled to find a taxi and gave serious thought to finding a solution to this pressing problem\u2014one that would make it possible to <\/span><\/p>\n

The idea behind Uber came from wanting everyone to be able to find a taxi in the right place at the right time. <\/span><\/p>\n

It later became hugely popular and achieved unprecedented success.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s talk about one of the world\u2019s best-known travel websites, which showcases travel experiences and places to stay around the world, generating <\/span><\/p>\n

enormous profits in the process. It began as a modest blog created by two young men who couldn\u2019t afford the rent on their apartment in San <\/span><\/p>\n

Francisco. Looking for ways to make a living, they came up with the idea of creating a simple travel blog. After modest success, they decided to <\/span><\/p>\n

develop the site and take it more seriously, bringing in a web developer who later became their third partner, until <\/span><\/p>\n

The website has become the successful, standout platform it is today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Success has never been reserved for superheroes, nor does it take finding Aladdin\u2019s lamp. Each of us can achieve our dream, as long as <\/span><\/p>\n
