In 1994, Bezos came up with the idea of starting an online bookstore, but he didn\u2019t have the funding. During a meeting with 60 people, he asked for $50,000. <\/span><\/p>\n

The bookstore sold its first book in July 1995, beginning a journey of success and expansion that brought the store to where it is today.<\/span><\/p>\n
