As for employees’ reactions, 92% said they were satisfied with the new experiment, which limited the workweek to just four days in
الأسبوع – بحسب وكالة بلومبيرغ.
The agency reported that although the experiment was successful, some managers at the Japanese company still have yet to embrace the idea of changing the way they work.
Some employees are also concerned that reducing the number of working days could inconvenience their customers.
The trial also successfully reduced electricity consumption by 23%, as well as cutting the use of printed paper by 59%.
The trial was the company’s response to the Japanese prime minister’s calls to make working conditions in the country more flexible.
